You may have noticed a little green frog seal on DAGOBA chocolate packaging.
Don't let its small size fool you. This little frog represents big advancements in sustainable farming — and DAGOBA chocolate is helping to lead the way. As of 2012,
our entire product line is made with cacao from Rainforest Alliance Certified™ farms.
The Rainforest Alliance is an international nonprofit organization that works to conserve biodiversity and promote the rights and well-being of workers, their families and communities. Rainforest Alliance Certified™ farms support a healthy environment and ensure efficient farm methods.

DAGOBA chocolate was founded on a love for the environment, which shaped our decision to use organic and sustainably-grown cacao from farms that conserve and reinvigorate the rainforest. We chose to work with the Rainforest Alliance because like us, it values environmental protection, social equity and economic viability for a better planet.
DAGOBA chocolate works closely with farms in Tanzania, Dominican Republic and Peru to help individual farmers achieve Rainforest Alliance certification. In 2011, more than 20,000 Tanzanian farmers earned Rainforest Alliance certification at the request of Dagoba Organic Chocolate in one of the single largest group certifications. DAGOBA chocolate also provided financial support to help build a nursery fermentation center in Peru.
